Trigger Warning: Sexual Assault & Rape

"My mental health journey was struggling with not only being a product of sexual assault and rape, but a survivor of incest as well. Being raped as early as the age of 5.

My accomplishments were that I turned all my pain into my purpose- by no longer being silent, speaking out against who and what hurt me. I’ve been honored on many levels from the city to the state. Most importantly, I’ve helped other women, men, and children come out of the darkness.

What motivates me to keep going is the response I get from the people I’ve helped- it’s one of my reasons why I keep going. My kids and grandkids also motivate me as well. Also, the thought of another little girl having to endure what I did motivates me to keep going.

The advice that I would give to someone struggling mentally: you can’t do it on your own. We all need someone regardless of what we want to believe. I particularly choose speaking out and therapy, which both save my life."

Thank God for me meeting these two phenomenal women . (Officer Mike ) I thank them for allowing me to use their platform to share my story to do what I do which is help others see the light .I pray someone can be set free as I was and that all of the work for this organization flourishes to its fullest potential 🙏🏾❤️
