"My name is Lo. At the age of 17, I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. I suffered with the symptoms all my life so to finally have a diagnosis was a relief. Fibromyalgia is a condition that consists of nerve damage all throughout my body and it causes me constant body pain and spasms. I remember at a very young age suffering with anxiety and depression. I didn’t want to live like this, in pain, and made several attempts to take my life. I know God is the reason why I’m still here. He saved me because He has a plan for me, so I made a promise to try and find ways to cope with my condition. Every day is a battle for me and I continue to persevere and fight to find a way to ease the symptoms.

I found out that exercising & changing my diet helped minimize my pain. I lost 30 lbs and it’s been 3 years since used my mobility device. I changed my work environment which was causing me to feel even more depressed and stressed. Emotions such as anger trigger chest pain which makes it hurt to breathe so I must work very hard not too stressed out or get anxious. To cope, I listen to a lot of music, go to the gym, go hiking, or do kickboxing to help deal with my stress.

What keeps me going is my family & my amazing wife. She cares for me when I am unable to or when the pain is just too much and I’m truly grateful for her. What also motivates me is being able to help others through our brand, Persevere & Win, a dream of mine since I could remember.

Something I’ve learned is that talking about it helps so try and find someone you trust and let it all out. Also, get active, it helps. You can join a gym, go hiking, or go for a walk with a loved one. Trust me, I never believed it, but it gets better. Trust your journey."
